Ani Graffiti
This bird, the groove-billed Ani, resides throughout Mexico and latin America. Impish and vaguely menacing-looking, with their glossy black coats and huge bill, I view them as outsiders of sorts and the drawing seemed a fitting match to a photograph I took of graffiti on a dumpster on my street.
